Musicon is a district in Roskilde Municipality undergoing transformation from concrete industry to a lively creative district with art inside out. The new urban space takes inspiration, both in terms of name and identity from the music and its famous neighbor; Roskilde Festival. Musicon will in the future be housing i.a. Rockmuseet Ragnarock, The Municipality of Roskilde Festival, a Folk High School, housing for all needs, a vibrant commercial life, and offices. A creative district with space for new experiments and alternative communal areas.

Creator Projects was a part of the initial stages of this interesting transformation. In collaboration with Mikkelsen Arkitekter, we developed and executed workshops together with users of Hal12 Skatepark to get a better understanding of the needs and wishes for the coming transformation of the area.
